She’s rushing to the polls. Former IndyCar and NASCAR queen Danica Patrick revealed on Thursday that she will be voting for the first time in her life this year when she pulls the lever for former President Donald Trump.
Patrick made the revelation while headlining a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, alongside Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance.
“I just want to say that I’ve never voted before, but this time I have to vote”, Patrick, 42, said on stage with Vance.
“It’s just that important.”

Vance then added that he wanted to make sure Patrick was supporting “the good guys.” “I just want to be clear, I want this to go on record — you’re voting for us, right?” the senator said.
“1,000%”, Patrick replied, joking that if she could vote twice, she would.
“We don’t do that, we’re Republicans”, Vance said.
“We just vote, we vote legally, just once.”
Patrick then encouraged the audience to “vote twice” legally, by bringing a friend with them to the polls.
“That’s a good point, vote twice legally”, Vance said.
“… That’s very good.”
The rally was held in the swing state less than two weeks after western North Carolina was hit by Hurricane Florence, which caused widespread damage and at least 92 deaths.
