Nikola Jokić was ready to deliver another historic performance just one day after dominating against the Kings! Everything was clear to everyone already after the first quarter, in which he scored 25 points. In the end, Denver defeated the Clippers 130–116, with Nikola posting 55 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

In the first quarter of the game against the Los Angeles Clippers, the Serbian star completely dominated and recorded 25 points and five rebounds in just 12 minutes of play, without a single turnover.

Jokić shot an impressive 8/11 from the field, including 2/3 from three-point range, and single-handedly carried Denver at the start of the game. The Nuggets’ center was unstoppable – scoring from all positions, controlling the boards, and displaying complete basketball magic already in the first part of the match.

It was clear to everyone that Nikola could deliver yet another historic performance against the Clippers – and that’s exactly what happened! After a close start and a Clippers lead of 20–19, Denver responded with a 10–0 run. However, in the second quarter, the roles reversed as Denver slowed down and the Clippers came close to a double-digit lead.

They reached that with a 13–0 run, holding a five-point lead at halftime, but Nikola Jokić did not want to miss the chance to crown his historic night with a victory. The third quarter was dominant for Denver defensively with a 41–22 score, and the team from Colorado excelled in every aspect of the game. Acting coach David Adelman could be pleased — at the start of the final period, Denver led by 22, allowing for a calmer finish to the game.

Already in the third period, Jokić had 52 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, shooting 17/22 from the field in 31 minutes on the court.

At that point, he had already surpassed the legendary Shaquille O’Neal, as this was his fourth career game with 50 or more points — Shaq had three such games.

In the end, Jokić finished with 55 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists in 33 minutes and 34 seconds of play. He shot 18/23 from the field, 5/6 from three-point range, and 14/16 from the free-throw line, with a +28 plus/minus rating. He added one block and one steal, losing two turnovers.

Gordon added 18 points, Murray 15, Hardaway 12, and Valančiūnas eight points. For the Clippers, Harden had 23 points and eight rebounds, Miller added 22, and Ivica Zubac posted 18 points and nine rebounds. Bogdan Bogdanović recorded 11 points and six assists in 20 minutes on the court, shooting 4/8 from the field and 3/5 from three.

Just a day earlier, Jokić had shined against the Kings, breaking Wilt Chamberlain’s record — and that wasn’t his only feat in that game.
