The President of the Government of Serbia, Miloš Vučević, yesterday received the US Ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, on a farewell visit and wished him success in his future professional endeavors.
As stated by the Government’s press office, Vučević assessed that Ambassador Hill, during his mandate, did many important things for both countries, and that he became familiar with the specificities and complexities of the situations and problems that Serbia faces.
It is stated that the interlocutors exchanged views in the conversation regarding international politics and the situation in the region.
Ambassador Hill thanked the Prime Minister for his support and understanding during his service in Belgrade. He assessed that Serbia is on the right track and wished the Prime Minister to continue working diligently on the development of the country and the preservation of peace. Hill concluded that Serbia and the US have much more in common and what connects them than things that separate the two countries, the statement says.
The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, met with the United States Ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, who informed her that his mandate in Serbia was ending and that this was their last meeting in those positions.

As the National Assembly of Serbia stated, Brnabić wished Hill good luck in the future and expressed her great gratitude for his engagement in building better relations between Serbia and the US.
The President of the Parliament especially emphasized that she highly appreciates the courage and personal integrity that Ambassador Hill has shown and assessed that his work has contributed to a better understanding of the US for Serbian policy.
Hill thanked Ana Brnabić for the excellent cooperation in previous years and expressed hope that Serbia will continue on the path of reforms and economic prosperity on which it is located, in order to improve the living standards of all citizens of Serbia.
Ana Brnabić and Christopher Hill expressed their belief that Serbia will continue to deepen cooperation and further strengthen its relations with the US in the future, as one of the most important foreign policy partners of our country.
