Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belgrade, PS Savski Venac, arrested D. M. (45), a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of destruction and damage of another’s property and obstruction of an official in the performance of official duties.
The suspect, yesterday around 6 p.m., damaged five official vehicles with a hammer in the parking lot of the police station in Savska Street.
Also, during the intervention of police officers, he attempted to attack them with a hammer, after which he was subdued and arrested.
During the intervention, one police officer was injured and provided with medical assistance.
D. M. has been detained for up to 48 hours and will, along with a criminal complaint, be brought before the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.
