Three months after the start of filming for the third installment of the most watched domestic series Shadows over the Balkans, the creator, director, and producer Dragan Bjelogrlić surprised a large number of fans by publishing the first trailer.
Four years after the events of the second season, the story takes us back to the autumn of 1938, on the eve of the beginning of the Second World War, in the midst of Milan Stojadinović’s election campaign. Belgrade once again becomes the scene of dirty power games and struggles for supremacy, while information about a mysterious ore spill from the Minh family’s mine on Rtanj, which led to an environmental catastrophe and the poisoning of people, is circulating in the public.
The leader of the Thule, Marija Oršić, as well as her former lover – Maja Davidović, and also Josip Broz Tito – all interested in the mine on Rtanj, are returning to the capital.
These events once again bring together the main characters – inspector Tanasijević (played by Dragan Bjelogrlić) and Stanko Pletikosić (Andrija Kuzmanović) who are trying to solve the mysterious cases that delve deep into the world of high politics, as well as mysticism.
The filming of the third installment of Shadows over the Balkans is planned to last until the end of October this year, and for the final season, the biggest names of the domestic acting scene responded to Bjelogrlić, while the complete cast consists of as many as 120 actors.
In addition to the already known cast consisting of Andrija Kuzmanović, Goran Bogdan, Nenad Jezdić, Voja Brajović, Marija Bergam, Leona Paraminski, Jovana Stojiljković, Srđan Žika Todorović, Petar Strugar, Nebojša Dugalić, Nataša Ninković, Miloš Samolov and Boda Ninković, in the new season the team will be joined by Anica Dobra, Svetlana Ceca Bojković, Miloš Biković, Milan Marić, Petar Benčina, Nina Janković Dičić, Marko Janketić, Andrija Milošević, Ljubomir Bandović, Boris Isaković, Teodor Vinčić, Aleksandar Srećković Kubura, Sanja Marković, Bojan Dimitrijević, Hristina Popović, Boris Milivojević and many others.
