Priština media announced today that two Albanians suspected of war crimes, who were arrested by the Serbian police seven days ago at Horgoš, have been released.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia announced on August 14 that two Albanians from Kosovo were arrested at the Horgoš border crossing between Serbia and Hungary.

The brothers B.E. and Dž.E. were arrested on charges of committing war crimes against the civilian population as members of the KLA.

Their relatives announced today that they have been released, Kossev reported, citing the Priština-based “Zeri.”

“On behalf of my uncles’ family, the E. family, I announce that my two uncles B.E. and Dž.E. have been released from detention in Serbia, are in good health and are returning to Germany to be with their families,” the family’s announcement published by “Zeri” states.
