Students involved in the blockade have announced a protest for today, November 29, in front of the Rectorate building of the University of Belgrade, marking one year since the submission of their demands.
According to a statement from the students, the plan is to hold a student plenum following 16 minutes of silence.
As a reminder, the students’ first four demands were:
- Publication of the complete documentation on the reconstruction of the railway station in Novi Sad.
- Prosecution of individuals responsible for attacks on students and professors, as well as their removal from public office if found guilty.
- Dropping criminal charges against students who were arrested and detained during protests, as well as halting ongoing criminal proceedings.
- Increasing the budget for higher education by 20 percent.
Later, the students also demanded the scheduling of elections.
