Milan Nedeljković will take over the position of Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG on May 14, 2026, the company’s Supervisory Board decided.
Nedeljković will succeed Oliver Zipse in that position, who has been a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG for more than ten years, and its Chairman since August 2019. The Supervisory Board explicitly thanked Zipse for his great merits for the BMW Group, Index.hr writes.

“He has leadership qualities”
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMW AG, Nicolas Peter, emphasized that Nedeljković brings a clear strategic vision, a strong ability to implement decisions, and a distinct entrepreneurial mindset.
“Milan Nedeljković stands for clear guidance in resource management, whether it is economic or ecological issues. He knows how to inspire people with ideas, rally them around common values, and motivate them to achieve top results. This is a key leadership quality for continuing the successful course of the BMW Group in the current transformation,” Peter said.
Oliver Zipse’s term as Chairman of the Board was extended in 2023 beyond the usual age limit until 2026. After the General Meeting on May 13, 2026, Zipse will, according to plan, end his management career after a total of 35 years spent with the company.
Peter emphasized the contribution of the previous Chairman of the Board on this occasion. “Oliver Zipse has done an extraordinary amount for the BMW Group, and we all owe him our gratitude for that. He led the company through global crises such as the coronavirus pandemic and strongly supported the Neue Klasse project, the company’s largest future project. His focus has always been the success of BMW, and even in difficult circumstances, he took clear positions and kept the company on a stable course,” he said.
