Serbian kickboxer Aleksandra Krstić has won the professional world champion title in the WAKO Pro version. At the event held in SPENS in Novi Sad, in the category up to 65 kilograms, she defeated Italian Rebeca Vajani 3:0 in the fight for the championship belt.
Our national team member was particularly dominant in the third round when her opponent was knocked down twice.
“It was an extremely difficult match, physically very demanding since it lasted five rounds of three minutes each. The Italian Vajani is a very tricky fighter; from the start, she set a strong pace and I had some trouble getting used to her style, but the third round was decisive,” Aleksandra Krstić stated with satisfaction, and then added:
“I am very happy that I won this title, the only one I was missing, so now I have united all the trophies that can be won.”
What lies ahead for her is participation with the Serbian national team at the World Championship in Abu Dhabi.
“The World Championship is in November. I have already won the gold medal four times, so I will have the highest possible ambitions at this championship as well. As for the professional ring, in December I plan one or two matches with which I would end this year,” Aleksandra Krstić concluded.
