The Government of the Republic of Serbia at today’s session adopted a decision to allocate 350 million dinars (approximately three million euros) from the current budget reserve for the rehabilitation of damage caused by fires, aid to the most vulnerable, and the reconstruction of affected areas, the Ministry of Finance announced.

According to the adopted decision, the funds are intended to help citizens whose households, agricultural properties, and livestock have been damaged or destroyed in the fires.

At the same time, the Government formed the Commission for Fire Damage Rehabilitation, which held its first meeting today, stated Minister of Finance Siniša Mali.

The task of this body is to collect and process data on the damage incurred on the ground.

“This means that affected citizens will receive funds as soon as possible for the reconstruction of their households, as well as for the rehabilitation of damage in agriculture and livestock. Currently, our absolute priority is to help people, and it will remain so until the last household is restored. Citizens will not be left alone in this; together we will solve and overcome everything,” Mali emphasized in a written statement.
