In the continuation of the anti-corruption campaign, members of the Criminal Police Directorate, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kraljevo, this morning arrested the vice president of the municipality of Rekovac and the director of the “Drača” quarry.
M. M. (1960), director of the “Drača” quarry, Rekovac, and A. Đ. (1986), former president of the municipality of Rekovac and president of the Assembly of the “Drača” quarry, and now deputy president of the Assembly of the municipality of Rekovac, were arrested.
They are suspected of, by exploiting and exceeding their positions and powers, in the period from 2016 to 2024, illegally selling stone aggregates from the production of the “Drača” quarry in the amount of 659,278 tons to economic entities engaged in further processing and installation of the mentioned material.

The suspects did not respect the prices listed in the official price lists of the “Drača” quarry, but sold at significantly lower prices, although they knew and were aware that such a way of doing business significantly jeopardizes the smooth functioning and profit realization of the quarry, as well as the profit realization for the municipality of Rekovac as the founder of the quarry.
In this way, they are suspected of causing damage to the “Drača” quarry company in the amount of 61,175,230 dinars and at the same time gaining benefits to economic entities that bought the stone aggregate at significantly lower prices.
The suspects will, along with a criminal report, be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Directorate, will continue to work on suppressing corruption in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.
